Paul as a boy accepted Jesus as his Savior at 8. Being blessed to be brought up in Sunday School, youth group, church & church camps. Paul attended conferences such as "Christ in Youth" as a teenager and knew he wanted to serve the Lord in a greater capacity. Though just a youth he already knew God was much more than a service on Sunday, or something you would hide from others until services rolled around again. His family, especially Grandma Dora & Aunt Delores spent time teaching bible stories, learning books of the bible, memorizing scripture and leading by example.
A greater level of learning was desired and necessary to more effectively understand & communicate the bible and it's complexities and intricacies along with the practical applications of administrations in the church world. Anyone being honest after attending such studies will tell you, no amount of classes or formal instruction will leave you actually prepared to minister at any kind of mature level. God himself will have to take care of that through time, earnest continued study, revelation from His scripture, the infilling of His Holy Spirit, and simply walking out His will..."in the the good, the bad, and the ugly of what ministry can hand you." Anyone relying on just doctrinal teachings from a denominational place of education is unlikely to ever carry out "Jesus' True Ministry" with any success at all.
In full transparency Paul spent many years away from the church or living a life for God for that matter. After an "earthshaking" experience personal in nature (God orchestrated no doubt...) Paul had to evaluate his path & trajectory in life. God being gracious as He allowed the "prodigal son" to go back into ministry in his late 30's. A touring & musical performing schedule was still going on but the pull of the "things of God" was getting ever stronger, and the Holy Spirit was also cleaning up the lifestyle as well. Paul lead worship for some large congregations, directing musical teams as well. He began to notice some alarming trends. Most churches were more business models to draw large crowds, have big buildings, become trendy places to attend, pull in large offering bases, and avoiding any deep spiritual calls & teaching to it's congregations. A big church but very little spiritual power, according to Jesus' model set out in the Bible.
With the call of God ever increasing, the seriousness of His expectations of a continually maturing believer & a leader, a decision had to be made. Having transitioned away from the entertainment music business, yet still receiving meaningful financial compensation from the churches...Paul had to decide to follow the calling of the deeper things of God.
The deeper things called the "Fivefold Ministry" Ephesians 4:11 "and He gave Himself some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." if this means seeking out a true Apostolic Ministry regardless of money...I just add a career to make money.
Paul realized through long study, time with God and ministry experience, (mostly leading from the Holy Spirit) that the church structure that Jesus created & modeled for His followers had not indeed past away with the passing of the original 12 disciples as is accepted by much of the church world. The office of Apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor & teacher are meant to be present today.
Mountain of God Tabernacle Apostolic Center... Monteagle, TN. started in 2010 under the direction of Apostle Terry Dunn. A fivefold ministry church ministering healing, deliverance, prophetic ministry, raising up and training the saints for the work of Jesus' ministry. Congregants are trained in their giftings & calling for the work of the Kingdom.
Terry Dunn & Paul Dietrich trained together starting in 1998 at World Outreach Center in Huntsville Alabama a ministry known for raising up and training prophets, as well as studying & practicing other callings as God released His power. After being released from Huntsville to "go therefore into all the world" Terry & Paul chose to stay teamed up as an apostolic team (Acts 10:1-3)
